I will be using Class Dojo to monitor behavior in the classroom. Our class and school rules will be centered around being respectful, responsible and safe.

Homework:
Homework will consist of reading with your child each night.
A matrix will be provided for you to choose different activities to do with the reading. There will be questions stems or written responses. It is your choice and your child’s choice of what activity to do with the reading. There will be nothing to turn in for homework. Instead, please just use the time to read as suggested and help your child learn to love reading.

Non-spill water bottles are allowed in the classroom. They must be brought home every night.
The temperature in the classroom changes often, your student may want to keep a light sweater in the classroom.
Please label removable clothing.
Please have your child wear appropriate shoes. He / She will participate in PE daily.
Please help your practice tying their shoes.
Know your child will be loved.

Lunch and Food Allergies:
To help keep our children with food allergies stay safe, any treats that are brought in for lunch must NOT be shared with other classes. (Even if you know the child.) If you are planning on bringing food or treats, please call our school nurse a few days ahead of time so that she may check for allergies. Please give at least 48 hours notice. Birthdays: If you send in birthday invitations, please note you will need to send in one for every student. |
